We are Jim & Pat Lambertus.
We were married in July 1969, in Southern California.
Our first two homes were in Mission Viejo, and La Palma California.
Jim was transferred to Ford’s Kansas City Assembly plant in 1978, and we built our next two homes in Kearney, Missouri.
Jim was then transferred to Ford’s Body and Assembly General Office in Dearborn, Michigan in 1988. We built our next two home in Novi, Michigan.
While we lived in Novi, Pat found Stained Glass. With her it is addictive.
We have three children, Eric lives in Colorado, Paige lives in Michigan, and Adam who lives in Texas.
Ford offered Jim a retirement package in 1996 which we took. We sold our home in Novi, Michigan and purchased a 1997 33’ Newmar Kountry Star fifth wheel. We traveled in that unit until 1999 when we purchased a 39’ Newmar Kountry Aire fifth wheel. That unit was home until 2004 when we traded it to Newmar for a 2004 39’ Kountry Aire.
While we were full-time RVing we became members of the Newmar Kountry Klub, the owner’s club for Newmar RVs. We were the Nevada directors of the Klub, and became the Region One directors. We spent five years as Region One directors, and enjoyed going to rallies and putting them on ourselves. The largest rallies we hosted were the 2004 and 2005 Quartzsite rallies, which both drew more than four hundred and fifty RVs to a spot in the Mojave desert. We hosted the Quartzsite rally in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. We also set up the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Special Event with our good friends Dennis and Elaine Temple. We hosted the Balloon Fiesta Special event in 2000, 2001 and 2002. The Balloon Fiesta was one of the most beautiful sights we have ever seen. Jim was elated that we also were asked to set up a rally at the Indianapolis 500. We hosted that rally in 2004 and 2005
As much as we enjoyed full-time RVing, we finally decided to build a home. That is the home where we now live, in Dandridge, Tennessee.
